Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Al Misrah Tailoring LLC(“Misrah”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our mobile application, our website (misrah.ae), our WhatsApp channel, and our in-person tailoring services. We are committed to handling your data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and applicable regulations.

1. Who we are

Al Misrah Tailoring LLC is a bespoke Emirati tailoring house in Abu Dhabi, and is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact us at info@almisrah.com.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact details — your name, mobile number, and email address.
  • Location information — the home address and map location you provide so our tailor can visit you and deliver your order. With your permission, the app or website may use your device location to help you set this.
  • Body measurements — the measurements taken by our tailor at your fitting, kept on file so you do not need to be remeasured for future orders.
  • Order and account information — your appointments, orders, purchase history, fabric preferences, and loyalty membership tier and points.
  • Messages — the messages you send us, including on WhatsApp and through in-app or website support.
  • Technical and usage data — device information, app notification tokens, approximate location derived from your IP address, and website usage and analytics data collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not store your full payment card details. Where you pay through a third-party payment provider, your payment is handled securely by that provider.

3. How we collect it

We collect personal data when you:

  • create an account or book a fitting through our app or website;
  • message us on WhatsApp, or verify your mobile number using a one-time code (OTP) sent via WhatsApp;
  • attend a fitting or place an order with our tailor;
  • take part in our trade-in and recycling programme; and
  • browse our website, through cookies and analytics.

4. How and why we use your data

We use your personal data to:

  • provide our tailoring services, arrange home fittings, and deliver your orders;
  • verify your identity and secure your account (including OTP verification);
  • process your orders, appointments, and payments;
  • operate our loyalty programme and the trade-in and recycling programme;
  • send you service messages such as booking confirmations, reminders, and order updates;
  • respond to your enquiries and provide customer support;
  • improve our products, services, and website; and
  • send you offers and news where you have agreed to receive them, and comply with our legal obligations.

You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to a message or emailing us at info@almisrah.com. This does not affect essential service messages, such as booking and order updates.

5. Legal basis

We process your personal data where it is necessary to perform our contract with you (for example, to fulfil an order), where you have given your consent (for example, for marketing messages, which you may withdraw at any time), where we have a legitimate interest in running and improving our business, and where we must comply with a legal obligation.

6. WhatsApp and messaging

We use WhatsApp, a service provided by Meta, to send verification codes, booking and order notifications, and to provide support. When you message us or receive messages from us on WhatsApp, those messages are also processed by Meta in accordance with the WhatsApp terms and privacy policy. You can stop receiving non-essential messages at any time by telling us or by adjusting your settings.

7. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

8. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, and only for the purposes described above. These include:

  • Google (Firebase) — authentication, database, hosting of our backend, push notifications, and analytics.
  • Meta (WhatsApp) — messaging and one-time verification codes.
  • Lightspeed — our point-of-sale and customer records, including orders and purchase history.
  • Acuity Scheduling — managing your fitting appointments.
  • Payment providers — to process payments securely.
  • OpenStreetMap and mapping services — to display maps and convert your pinned location into an address.
  • Hosting and delivery partners — to run our website and deliver your orders, and our recycling partners for the trade-in programme (garments only, without your contact details unless necessary).

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

9. International transfers

Some of our service providers store or process data on servers located outside the United Arab Emirates. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to be protected to a standard consistent with this policy and applicable law.

10. How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data for as long as needed to provide our services to you, to maintain your account and measurements for future orders, and to meet our legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent you have given, and to request a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@almisrah.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to keep our safeguards up to date. If a personal data breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where required by law.

13. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

14. Third-party links

Our website and messages may contain links to third-party websites and services, such as our booking system, social media, and mapping providers. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be communicated to you directly.
